"CHOOSE A PATH OF INTERGRITY" – KWARA STATE COORDINATOR, LAYS FINAL BRICK

The address took a firm turn early on when the coordinator remonstrated with the corps members to by all means avoid online harassment and spread of misleading comments.

In a moving debriefing that shifted seamlessly from stern correction to fatherly counsel, the State Coordinator Olaoluwa Joshua Onifade brought the Kwara State NYSC Orientation Course for Batch A Stream 1 to close by encouraging Corps members to choose a path of integrity over the lure of easy shortcuts. The atmosphere was charged with a mix of celebration and sobriety as the coordinator addressed the departing Corps members, emphasizing that the end of camp is merely the beginning of their true test of character.

The address took a firm turn early on when the coordinator remonstrated with the corps members to by all means avoid online harassment and spread of misleading comments. Making it clear that digital actions have real-world consequences, he announced that individuals whose hands are caught rummaging through the jar of misnorma would breast the NYSC disciplinary body for commensurate Penalties which would be served icily. Amidst this call for order, he strongly urged the Corps members to remain committed to their Community Development Service (CDS) groups, reminding them that these platforms are essential for leaving a lasting legacy in their host communities.

He urged the youths to stay alert and prioritize their safety as they head to their places of assignments, warning them plainly to avoid toxic influences and stay out of trouble. To ease the logistical transition, he confirmed the availability of buses to transport Corps members to various major bus stops, ensuring a safe and organized departure from the camp gates.

The speech leaned heavily into the principle of accountability, with the coordinator reminding the assembly that the world operates on a system of rewards and punishments, urging the corps members to be serious with their lives and to reject the temptation to thrive through evil deeds. He challenged them to carry the same zeal they displayed on camp into their service year, committing to instructions and honing the leadership skills necessary to excel in a competitive country.

In a deeply humane moment, the coordinator pivoted from his official capacity to plead as a fellow human being and father, asking the Corps members to live lives of uncompromising integrity. This heartfelt appeal was followed by a celebration of excellence, where some selected corps members and NYSC camp officials were presented with commendation letters. These awards recognized those who were "intentional and outstanding" in their roles, ensuring that the hard work of the entire camp community did not go unnoticed. Closing with a fatherly blessing, he congratulated them on a successful orientation and wished them a beautiful and impactful service year ahead.
